We are excited for the event! Here are some details to help you get set up and organized.

Team roles for the event:

  • Marti Grimminck - Facilitator

  • Dawn Lillington - Your Point person should anything go wrong - her phone number was emailed to you

  • Rachel Head - Event Manager coordinating all the technical details including polls, virtual board and networking room

  • Lauren Wield, Isabel Becker & Marina Raynaud - Will be updating the virtual whiteboard throughout the event

Set up Zoom

  • VIRTUAL BACKGROUND - We have made a themed virtual background with your name and company. Download yours HERE.

  • SET UP - Under video settings, go to virtual background. Drag your photo next to the other virtual background photos.

  • NOTE - Your template will appear backwards to you but to the rest of us, it will be seen correctly. You can fix that by clicking on Mirror my video under Virtual Background or Video Settings.

  • Marti personally likes to click on the Touch Up My Appearance box under Video Settings! :)

How the Session will Run

  • FACILITATION - Marti will be facilitating, introducing your presentation and guiding the conversation throughout.

  • WHEN YOUR TOPIC IS UP - Each topic has a 10minute slot total - please keep your presentation (case study or story) to approximately 3 minutes in length. Although, that seems very short, it’s long time in a virtual event. You will have more time to comment and participate throughout the 60minutes of content and this will run similar to a traditional panel facilitation.

  • AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION - The audience will engage primarily through the chat. Comments will be reflected on our Miro Virtual Whiteboard facilitated by our young innovator team members.

  • SIGNALING YOU WANT TO SPEAK - There are two reaction options below your Zoom screen. Please put the thumbs up to let us know that you would like to speak and Marti will cue you in. (See below).

NETWORKING SESSION 

As previously said, we will break off into networking groups after the discussion phase. We will have three different networking groups mentioned mentioned at the beginning where everyone will choose which group they would prefer to go into. The topics of the group are as follows.

  3. Next Topics for Future of Women In Tech
